TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Kinga Makeup Art is committed to delivering a professional, high-quality service you can trust. With a BA (Hons) in Fashion, Theatrical and Media Hair and Makeup and extensive experience working across all skin types and tones, every booking is approached with the same technical expertise and care.

By choosing Kinga Makeup Art, you're supporting an independent business built on inclusivity and individuality. Every service is bespoke, tailored to you, for a considered, personal experience from start to finish.

The following terms outline what to expect when booking a service with us.

BOOKING

  • A booking shall be secure only once Kinga Makeup Art is in receipt of the requisite booking fee.

  • Booking can be made and discussed via email or through the Contact page.

COSTING

  • Kinga Makeup Art offers a bespoke, luxury service to meet clients’ needs and satisfaction. The rates will reflect the quality of products that are carried by the makeup artist, and all additional costs such as sanitising products, insurance and more, that help to keep the business running smoothly.   • Any time exceeding what was agreed will be charged at an additional £50 per hour. For more information, and quotations please use Contact form.

CANCELLATION

If you wish to cancel your booking entirely, notice must be given in writing (email or via the Contact form) at least two weeks before the agreed date.

  • Cancellations made two weeks or more before the booking: any deposit already paid is non-refundable, but no further charges apply.

  • Cancellations made with less than two weeks' notice: the full outstanding balance for the booking becomes payable in full.

Kinga Makeup Art reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service where there is an infectious condition present, or where a client's behaviour is abusive, rude, or unreasonable. In such cases, the standard cancellation charges above will still apply.

POSTPONEMENT

If you wish to move your booking to a new date rather than cancel it entirely, the following fees apply, calculated on the original agreed price:

  • Postponement requested within 2 calendar weeks of the original date: 25% fee.

  • Postponement requested within 1 calendar week of the original date: 50% fee.

Postponement is subject to availability for the new date. If no mutually agreeable new date can be found within 3 months, the booking will be treated as a cancellation and the cancellation terms above will apply.

PAYMENT

  • The deposit shall be non-refundable (being an approximation of the value of services already rendered) for preparation time required to deliver the assignment. Kinga Makeup Art shall (where the value of the services already delivered to the client is greater than the value of the deposit) be entitled to be paid additionally for all services delivered to the client up to that point. Kinga Makeup Art will not be liable for any additional losses incurred by the client in such circumstances.

  • The person making the booking shall be held responsible for full and final settlement of the total amount payable to Kinga Makeup Art.

  • Payment for any trial (for occasion/bridal) shall be made on the day of the trial, or alternatively, in advance by bank transfer to Kinga Makeup Art.

  • Any outstanding balance payable in relation to a booking shall be paid to Kinga Makeup Art no later than the date that was agreed by both parties prior to the date of the booking. Kinga Makeup Art shall provide an invoice detailing any such outstanding balance.

HEALTH & WELLBEING

  • It is the client's responsibility to inform Kinga Makeup Art of any known allergies, skin conditions, or sensitivities prior to the appointment. Kinga Makeup Art cannot be held liable for any allergic reaction resulting from a client's failure to disclose a known allergy or sensitivity, or failure to undergo a recommended patch test.

  • If a client is unwell, or has a cold sore, active skin infection, eye infection (such as conjunctivitis), or any other contagious condition on the day of the appointment, Kinga Makeup Art reserves the right to decline or adjust the service for the safety of both client and artist. Where possible, alternative options (such as rescheduling) will be discussed. Standard cancellation/postponement charges may still apply, at Kinga Makeup Art's discretion.

LATE ARRIVAL / NO-SHOW

Clients are asked to be ready and available at the agreed start time. If a client is more than 15 minutes late, the appointment time may be shortened to ensure other bookings are not affected, with no reduction in the agreed fee.

If a client fails to attend a booking without prior notice ("no-show"), the full balance for that booking becomes payable in full, and any deposit paid is forfeited.

PHOTOGRAPHERS/ USE OF IMAGES

The client agrees that Kinga Makeup Art may use any photography for publicity purposes which include the artist’s website and social media pages.

Kinga Makeup Art will not post any final photographs until given final permission if images are being submitted to magazines/ publications.  

If images are being submitted to magazines or publications, Kinga Makeup Art will not post any final photographs until final permission has been given. 

Any objections should be made in writing to Kinga Makeup Art.

TRAVEL 

Travel fee is discussed and calculated with each client individually.

Kinga Makeup Art will discuss prior to booking. In circumstances where location is difficult to access by public transport, the travel costs may be higher to cover any additional fees of taxis etc. This is due to the amount of heavy equipment brought along, to protect the health and safety of the artist.
